1. Typical examples of foreign magnesium alloys used in weapons

(1) The 21st century soldier weapon being developed by the U.S. military - an ideal individual soldier integrated combat system, plans to use magnesium alloy as the shell and other components to reduce the mass from 8.17 kg to 6.37 kg;

(2) The advanced horizontal amphibious two-handled assault vehicle being developed by the US military uses magnesium alloy as the shell and adopts advanced magnesium alloy surface protection technology. It has been proved by tests that the surface performance is good;

(3) Magnesium alloys have been used in the soft shell of sub-caliber shelling shells and armor-piercing shells in foreign countries;

(4) Some parts of the French MK50 anti-tank grenade are made of magnesium alloy materials, and the mass of the whole bomb is only 800 g;

(5) The trigger and other parts of the Racegan (strong charge, advanced combat pistol) made in the United States are made of magnesium alloy, which reduces the weight by 45% and the firing time by 66%.
